World’s Cutest Five-Year-Old Kids Want Matching Haircuts to Trick Their Teacher

Five-year-old Jax Rosebush from Louisville, Kentucky, was thrilled to hear that he needed a haircut this week, because he could finally put his great prank idea into motion.

“Can I get it cut like Reddy’s?” he asked. According to Today, he told his mom that he wanted to get the same haircut as his best friend, Reddy Weldon, because they wanted to switch places and trick their pre-K teacher so she wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. Both kids wanted matching haircuts because they thought this was a brilliant, hilarious plan to fool their nice teacher, Miss April, and neither of them seemed concerned with the fact that Reddy is black and Jax is white.

“He said that he wanted his head shaved really short so he could look like his friend Reddy. He said he couldn’t wait to go to school on Monday with his hair like Reddy’s so that his teacher wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. He thought it would be so hilarious to confuse his teacher with the same haircut,” Jax’s mom, Lydia Stith Rosebush said, posting a photo of the two kids to the Love What Really Matters Facebook page.

This is so cute, and I really hope that teacher pretended she couldn’t tell them apart. If there is any good in the world, Miss April called them by each other’s names all day.

Jax got his hair buzzed short just like Reddy’s, and they were both totally excited to put the plan into motion. Reddy got to school first the next day, and he went right up to Miss April and said that he was Jax Rosebush.

They’re so cute. Children are so good and sweet and pure!

Jax’s mom says that he doesn’t seem to understand why everyone is so obsessed with the story of his new haircut, but he loves the attention it has been getting and just keeps talking about his new haircut and how he looks like his best friend now. That kid is never going to get a different haircut for the rest of his life.
