Tyrese Cries About His Daughter in Emotional Video Posted to Facebook

Ugh, we don’t even know where to begin with this one. Tyrese Gibson, singer and actor best known for his role in the Fast and Furious franchise, took to Facebook to post an emotional video. The video seems to be directed at his ex-wife, Norma Mitchell Gibson. In the video, Tyrese sobs and begs his ex-wife not to take his daughter away from him. The exes are currently embroiled in a nasty custody battle, with accusations of child abuse. It’s really all so heartbreaking.

Tyrese and his ex-wife have been in a bitter custody battle over their daughter, 10-year old Shayla.

Things have gotten really bad lately. Norma has accused the actor abusing Shayla, and was granted a temporary restraining order. The court documents detail a horrifying incident which, if true, should mean that Tyrese not be allowed to be ANYWHERE near his daughter. Norma alleges that in August, Tyrese “pushed our daughter to the ground, pinned her face down, put his knees on her back, grabbed her hands with one arm and beat her with the other.” She says he hit Shayla between 12-16 times, which led to the child being in too much pain to sit down. Norma also said that he was prone to “beat on the people he is in conflict with” and that he had hit her ”a number of times in the past including when I was pregnant with our daughter”.

She claims he refused to return their daughters passport. He has also threatened to take her to Dubai in the past. Tyrese has denied all allegations. A judge granted full physical and legal custody to Norma, and ordered Tyrese to stay 100 yards away from them both.

In the video he posted on Facebook, the actor sobs and begs Norma, “Please don’t take my baby”.

Gibson is also currently beefing with The Rock, of all people. He’s angry that a spin-off of the popular Fast and Furious franchise will delay the next installment.

We hope that the allegations aren’t true, but if they are, his behavior is atrocious. Our hearts go out to Shayla, who at 10 years old, doesn’t need to be exposed to this kind of emotional manipulation. Watch the video below for yourselves, and let us know what you think. Devoted dad? Or gaslighting master?
