Tyra Banks Shares First Photo of Her ‘Miracle’ Son and He’s Adorable

Is anyone surprised that Tyra Banks‘ son is just as gorgeous as she is? We haven’t gotten a glimpse of him since his birth in January 2016, but this past weekend, she shared the first public picture of him with the world, and we all let out a collective “AWWWWWW!” Tyra took to her Instagram to wish everyone a Happy Father’s Day, with her little guy, York, as the messenger.

The caption reads, “To all the amazing daddies out there that love their kids unconditionally like my mommy’s daddy and my daddy, too…HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! -York”

Tyra and her boyfriend, Norwegian photographer Erik Asla, welcomed their son York via gestational surrogate a year and a half ago. In the Instagram post where she announced his arrival, she touched on the hard road they traveled to bring their little guy into the world. She said, “He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world.”

Tyra and Erik certainly aren’t the first celebrity couple to experience difficulties with having a baby, and more and more celebs are opening up about their struggles, shedding light on another subject that can still feel very lonely when you’re in the thick of it.

While we did have to wait a reeeeeeeally long time to meet York, we’re so thrilled to finally get a glimpse of that beautiful boy, and share in the joy of babies with Tyra and Erik! Congratulations to the Banks/Asla family, and Happy Father’s day to all the amazing daddies!
