Trayvon Martin’s Dad Addresses That Media Bias And Rightly Wags A Finger At The Police
The mourning father said:
“First and foremost, I think had the Sanford police department did a thorough and impartial investigation from the beginning, George Zimmerman would have been locked up from day one and there wouldn’t have been such a huge public outcry for the arrest.”
His comments come on the heels of special prosecuter Angela Corey telling reporters yesterday that the decision to charge Zimmerman “didn’t take long ” — an exaggeration if I ever did hear one. Had there been no “huge public outcry,” Zimmerman would have gone uncharged and walked free from the crime scene of an unarmed kid. The mere fact that these parents had to push back so strongly to get anyone to consider their son’s death as criminal speaks volumes about where exactly that bias rests.
