Twitter Swells With Responses From Sensational TIME Breastfeeding Magazine Cover

TIME magazine may have debuted a big featured piece on attachment parenting, but all anyone is talking about is the breasfeeding cover — and Twitter is no exception. From questions about the photographed kid to laments over the mother’s age, the Twittersphere is predictably swelling with comments on the controversial cover. But in true Internet culture fashion, it’s only taken a few hours for mock ups, much like the one featured here, to illuminate the commercial incentives of such an image.

As our our editor in chief Shawna Cohen noted, the cover sensationalizes attachment parenting, with an “Are You Mom Enough?” prod at mothers everywhere. So while the cover is certainly likely to instill some chatter this Mother’s Day weekend, it’s already begun on Twitter.
