‘Teen Mom’ Catelynn Lowell Returns to Treatment, Just a Couple of Weeks After Coming Home

Well, this certainly isn’t what we want to hear, but we hope she’s continuing to get the help she needs. Teen Mom Catelynn Lowell returned from an in-patient treatment center just a couple of weeks ago. She entered the 6-week treatment program after having suicidal thoughts, and was committed to getting better. But it appears as though her battle is far from over. Yesterday, Catelynn announced that she would be returning to treatment for an additional 6 weeks.

Teen Mom Catelynn Lowell made the announcement on Twitter.

“Well they say third times a charm… I’m going back to treatment people for 6 weeks to work on my trauma and getting on different meds. THANK YOU @TylerBaltierra I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!! You are my light!! And nova you are my sunshine.” Having the support of your partner is so incredibly important on the journey toward getting better, and we’re so glad to see Tyler Baltierra is standing with her.

In November, Catelynn opened up about her struggles, and what led her to seek help. In a statement to US Weekly, Catelynn said, “I’m taking the time I need right now to take good care of myself”¦”

Catelynn said that on November 17, she considered suicide, and thought through ways to take her own life. Her statement continued, “On November 17th I thought of every way possible to commit suicide”¦ from wrapping a belt around my neck to just running my car into an electric pole”¦ THANK GOD I have a support system and a HUSBAND and a DAUGHTER”¦ thank god I am self aware”¦ I’m seeking treatment and I WILL get better”¦ anyone feeling alone you ARE NOT ALONE! This world needs all of us! We are all here for a reason”¦ Thank you for your support during this tough time”¦.”

After completing treatment, Catelynn seemed happy to be home, and excited for what the future held. We’re proud of her for recognizing that she needed more help, and taking the steps to get better. In a response to a fan on Twitter, Catelynn referenced some of the trauma she’d dealing with.

Our thoughts are with Catelynn, Tyler, and Nova, as Catelynn continues to get the help she needs.
