Random Kid Gets Meme’d After Hilarious Justin Timberlake Moment at the Super Bowl

Possibly unpopular opinion: I did not care for last night’s halftime show.I had such high hopes! I’m a fan of Justin Timberlake, and was crossing my fingers for some sort of *NSYNC reunion or perhaps some redemption for Janet Jackson. Instead, we got JT in a weird camo suit singing the song from Trolls. My kids, on the other hand, LOVED IT. “Mom, that’s Branch! It’s Branch, he’s singing Trolls!” So I suppose if he was trying to cement the next generation of JT fans, then kudos buddy, you nailed it. By far, the best part of the show was the impromptu selfie Justin took with some random kid in the stands. In the blink of an eye, Super Bowl kid was born, and the rest is meme history.

Super Bowl kid obviously had the best seat in the house. And he has a selfie with Justin Timberlake, lucky guy! But let’s be honest, that kid is like 11. Does he even know who JT is??

He’s like, heeeeey, ok, this is fun! Gonna dance a bit (whispers “Who is … “), play around on my phone. I’m at the Super Bowl, yay! It was hilarious and I love that kid.

Dead. I can’t. I feel so old, but honestly, this is probably what happened.

No one wants to be THAT GUY. Mouthing along to a song that everyone knows the lyrics to, but you have no idea what you’re saying. Sound familiar, Mr. President*?

Listen, NBC. LISTEN. You ruined a lot of people’s Super Bowl highs last night, so don’t go getting all cocky and clever on social media. You need to apologize for what you’ve done.

Every. Goddamn. Time.

OK. That is an AMAZING picture and I am 100% jealous. See, parents? This is why we shouldn’t rag on our kids too much about always having their noses in their phones. Super Bowl kid is fucking famous now, because he was READY.

Ryan McKenna’s school cred just skyrocketed, honestly. Lap it up, buddy!
