Helen Mirren Is Abhorred By Plastic Surgery In Young Girls

In keeping with recent reports of English actresses taking a stand against pressures to nip-tuck, 66-year-old Helen Mirren has recently stated how much she hates seeing young people getting cosmetically altered. Although Helen supports plastic surgery for the older sect, she is against the practice when it comes to young girls.

Helen says in the September issue of InStyle:

”The only thing I don’t like on young people is plastic surgery…The purity of youthful beauty is so fantastic to me that it’s horrific when young girls get fake things.”

The Dame’s comments seem to mirror that of Gwyneth Paltrow who recently told the German issue of OK! that she doesn’t use any Botox for “pure vanity.” However, she would like a breast augmentation after breastfeeding and the toll of motherhood:

“Before I didn’t care about it. And I still refuse to use silicone, Botox or other of those gimmicks out of pure vanity. But a breast correction after breast feeding ”” why not?

“There’s actually nothing else to restore the original condition, isn’t there?”

Unfortunately, plastic surgery is becoming more and more the norm among people both in and out of the public eye, especially for older women. But both Gwyneth and Helen’s comments at least cast some scorn on the practice when it comes to young people.
