Family Friend Says Prince Harry & Prince William Aren’t On “Good Terms”
We’re strictly on Team Prince Harry-doing-what’s-best-for-himself-and-his-family but apparently Prince William doesn’t feel the same. According to a family friend of the royals, Harry’s choice to “step back” from his official duties with wife Meghan Markle has caused a bit of a rift between the brothers.
“They didn’t leave on good terms by any means, but they are both relieved that it’s over,” the source told People, adding, “Perhaps [Meghan and Harry] didn’t think things through exactly as they could have, but they wanted to be happy.” According to this person, Harry and William have been trying to talk while Harry’s now living part-time in Canada in hopes of rebuilding their relationship. The brothers’ relationship has, according to reports, been difficult ever since William told Harry he and Meghan were moving too fast in their relationship back in 2017.
There have long been rumors that Meghan and Harry’s relationship has created a royal divide. Whether it’s Kate Middleton‘s reported distaste for the Suits actor or Queen Elizabeth removing a pic of the couple from her living room, the gossip never stops when it comes to Meghan’s effects on the family. But considering Harry’s own mother Princess Diana was similarly crucified by the media, he made the right choice by moving abroad with his lady and Prince Archie, who will soon be a one-year-old.
“It’s full throttle for [Meghan and Harry] right now,” the friend told People. “They have a lot happening in 2020, and it will be really exciting to see.”
We hope that the princes can mend their frosty relationship and if not for themselves, then for the sake of Archie, George, Charlotte, Louis, and any future children the couples opt to have.
