Well, There’s a Rose Sorbet and Ice Cream, So Cancel All My Plans

Kids have all the fun, what with the Sour Patch kid ice cream and unicorn sprinklers. Why can’t summer be a little for us, too? We deserve it, dammit! Well, Angry Orchard heard our pleas earlier this year, with the release of their rose cider. And it looks like they weren’t done delivering! Angry Orchard teamed up with Davey’s Ice Cream to create a line of frozen treats that will tickle the taste buds in all the right ways. NO KIDS ALLOWED! This rose ice cream is just for you, if you can manage to get your hands on some.

The Angry Orchard/Davey’s Ice Cream rose ice cream concoctions come in two delectable flavors, Pine-Apple Hibiscus Rose Sorbet and Rose CreamCider.

The Pine-Apple Hibiscus Rose Sorbet has an Angry Orchard Rose Cider base, but takes it in a topical direction with the addition of pineapple and hibiscus. The Rose CreamCider combines Davey’s signature Sweet Cream Ice Cream and rose sorbet, for a sort of creamsicle for grown-ups with more refined palates. Not going to lie, I would eat both of these in copious amounts.

Now for the bad news: the rose ice cream was only available at Davey’s locations from July 13-15. It can also be found at the Angry Orchard Cidery in Walden, New York, but only while supplies last! In other words, this won’t be around for long.

So if you are anywhere near Walden, New York, I expect you to do me a solid and get your add there, like, today. Get a pint or seven, you’ll need to keep some stocked in your freezer. As for the rest of us, maybe if we write letters to Angry Orchard and Davey’s Ice Cream, demanding the return of the rose ice cream, we can persuade them to bring them back! Limited-engagement food is bullshit, just let us have our things when we want them.
