Reese Witherspoon Told The Cop That She Drunkenly Sassed That She Was Pregnant

After hiding from the press for handful of days following her arrest/DUI accompaniment, Reese Witherspoon has consented to talking about drunkenly harassing a cop. The mother of three put on a brave smiley face — with a twinge of Tracy Flick if you ask me — and addressed what went on that night. At least what she could could remember of it. While Reese said that she should “know better,” she leaned heavy on the Protective Wife role, adding that she even told the cop she was pregnant.

Pregnant while smashed? I’m sure it made sense at the time.

While sitting primly for “Good Morning America,” Reese delivered the following PG details for viewers. She and hubby Jim Toth had “one of those nights” and kicked back “one too many” glasses of wine at dinner — so many that they felt entitled to endanger other people on the road/thought they were OK to drive.

Reese goes on to say that she doesn’t quite know what she said to the cop who pulled them over. But one declaration does stick out about that night. A lie about being knocked up:

“I had no idea what I was thinking that night. I saw him arrest my husband and I just panicked. I said all kinds of crazy things to the officer. I even told him I was pregnant. I am not pregnant!”

“I had no idea what I was talking about and I am so sorry. I was so disrespectful to him. I have police officers in my family. I work with police officers every day. I know better.”
