Parents on Twitter Rally to #RenewDocMcStuffins, and It’s the Cutest Save-a-Show Campaign Ever

Screen Shot 2016-07-02 at 6.45.17 PMDoc McStuffins is an adorable cartoon TV show by Disney about a young, black, female doctor who takes care of sick dolls and toys. Kids love it because it’s adorable and funny. Doctors love it because it makes kids less afraid of real-life doctors. Parents love it for a lot of reasons, especially parents who are concerned with media representation for girls and children of color, so now a lot of people are concerned that Disney has not yet announced if the show will be coming back for a fifth season or not.

W. Kamau Bell–who according to Buzzfeed once described Doc McStuffins as “the Olivia Pope of children’s television–is one of the parents concerned about that, and he started Tweeting about the Twitter hashtag #RenewDocMcStuffins, which has quickly turned into the world’s cutest save-a-show campaign, as parents started posting photos of their kids engaging with Doc McStuffins.
