If You Want People To ‘Mind Their Business’ Don’t Take Photos Of Your Child Hanging From A Plant Hook

A photo of a toddler hanging from a plant hook made the rounds on social media and ended up with a mother facing felony child abuse charges. The baby is clearly in distress. His 18-year-old mom doesn’t understand what the big whoop is.

Here’s what she posted on her Facebook page in response to the multiple complaints her photo garnered. From WHOTV:

”The cops came to my house twice last night and saw that he was fine. They think this was immature and dumb of me but he saw I was playing and no one needs to know everything going on because some of you aren’t parents and no one knows the full story. Mind your own f******business.”

She admits she took the photo and says the baby’s father posted it in retaliation after they’d had an argument. Was the argument over you hanging his child from a hook like a piece of meat? What kind of sick photo-op is this?

Police have determined that the father wasn’t involved in the incident, so he isn’t being charged. No idea why he thought it was appropriate to post and image of his child in distress to Facebook, though. Seems like there are a lot of sound decisions being made by these parents. People are using social media to air all of their grievances these days. If this father really thought his child was in danger, maybe he should have skipped the Facebook step and gone right to police.

Between the ebola prank, the mom who called 911 because her kid’s foot was stuck in a chair and now this lady — parents have failed the internet this week. I’m done.
