‘Lego Dad’ Instagram Account Shows Realities Of Parenting And Then Some
Who hasn’t played with LEGO blocks at one time or another? You probably used them as a child, and if you’re a parent, you’ve certainly stepped on a few by now. But how many of us have truly put our creativity to the test by depicting some real-life struggles with these timeless toys? One father is currently making the rounds after he created a ‘Lego Dad’ Instagram account that shows the realities of parenting and then some.
The mystery dad is keeping his identity a secret, but we do know a few details thanks to an interview between him and Us Magazine. The New jersey-based toy-loving father is married with two kiddos: a 7-month old and a 13-year-old middle schooler who’s at the age where he doesn’t get how freaking cool his dad actually is. And yes, they are most obviously his biggest inspiration when it comes to his Lego creations. Don’t believe me? Check out this super sweet (and hilarious) account:

Lego Dad doesn’t actually just stop at parenting memes, though. He’s clearly into pop culture and politics, as you’ll be able to tell after perusing his account for a bit.

Oh, and not to be outdone, Lego Dad’s wife does have a Lego Mom account—on Facebook, that is. Sadly, she hasn’t updated it in quite some time, which Lego Dad told US was due to the fact that she travels frequently for work. I’d imagine between her job and raising two kids (including just having had one early this year), she’s probably beyond busy. Still, I do hope she starts it up again.
Thanks, Lego Family, for all the laughs.
