11-Year-Old Kirsten Dunst Was Understandably Not Into Kissing Grown Up Brad Pitt In ‘Interview With The Vampire’

'Upside Down' Los Angeles PremiereIn not particularly shocking news, Kirsten Dunst was not all that jazzed about locking lips with a man two decades her senior — even if it was Brad Pitt. The now 30-year-old Dunst now says that the famous kiss in Interview With The Vampire was nothing to be envious about, ladies (and gents). Because she was 11.

To Bullett, Kirsten Dunst sums up her first ever kiss — onscreen as well as off — as “disgusting.” Cast as Claudia, the forever stunted woman child, Kristen was challenged with “channeling a grown woman’s desires, sexual yearnings, and cruel manipulations through a body frozen in pre-adolescence.” Just what you want your 11-year-old to be doing on set with a 30-something-year-old dude.

Kirsten maintains that the kiss was “just a peck.” But the actress also implies that getting even mildly intimate with Brad Pitt incentivized her to put off kissing for awhile:

”I remember Brad would watch lots of Real World episodes,” she says. ”He had this long hair. He was just a hippie- ish cool dude. Everyone at the time was like, ”˜You’re so lucky you kissed Brad Pitt,’ but I thought it was disgusting. I didn’t kiss anyone else until I was 16, I think. I was a late bloomer.”

A late bloomer with a Brad Pitt kiss already under her belt? Yes, because she was 11.
