Khloe Kardashian‘s split with Tristan Thompson was the biggest reality TV news of the year thanks to Tristan’s dalliance with Kylie Jenner‘s then-BFF Jordyn Woods, but the pair have come together for the sake of their daughter, True.

On Friday, Khloe shared an Instagram Story of Tristan’s most recent gift celebrating the launch of her new collaboration with KKW Fragrance, her sister Kim Kardashian‘s perfume line. While showing off a balloon arch bearing the name of her scent, Pink Diamond, Khloe shed some light on her relationship with the NBA power forward:

“I got these balloons sent to me from baby True and Tristan and I really appreciate the love and the thoughtfulness,” Khloe began. “I’m really proud at the co-parenting place that we are in.”

While co-parenting as a Kardashian is undoubtedly less complicated than co-parenting without the perks of being a multi-millionaire (like the ability to set your own work hours and a veritable army of nannies), being able to set aside such a huge scandal for the sake of their child really is something to celebrate.

Khloe Kardashian talks co-parenting on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast, too, where she elaborated on the beauty of forgiveness and how she wants True to feel surrounded by blissful energy.

“I know it’s not realistic every day, but as much as I can control it, I feel like it’s my mama-bear job to control it,” Khloe said.

Khloe’s sister Kourtney Kardashian has also been an example of (mostly) healthy co-parenting with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, with whom she shares three children, as were Khloe’s divorced parents Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian.

At the end of the day, though, Khloe clarified that you have to put yourself first in any co-parenting relationship (or, we’re assuming, second after your little baby angel).

“If this was hindering Kourtney’s growth or if it hinders my growth, then you also have to put yourself first because you are, in fact, taking care of your children,” Khloe concluded.

“It would be easier for me to keep my daughter away,” she said.”But he never hurt True. Him and I have our own relationship, and then Tristan and True have theirs, and I will never come in-between that. I don’t believe in that.”
