Jordyn Duggar Is Clearly The ‘Forgotten Duggar’
With 20 kids to look after, it is all too easy to forget a few. Duggar fans notice the “forgotten Duggar kids” tend to be overshadowed by their married older siblings – who tend to bring in the big bucks with their television show. However, it seems that the second-youngest child, Jordyn Duggar, has to compete with everyone – including her younger sister Josie.
Jordyn and Josie are less than a year apart in age. Both of their birthdays are in December, about a week apart. But, instead of giving each girl equal amounts of attention, fans think that Jordyn is forgotten in favor of Josie. Josie Duggar was born prematurely, and had a scary first few days on earth. She is the “miracle baby,” and is considered the Duggar’s “favorite” kid.
How is Jordyn Duggar supposed to compete with a miracle?! Luckily, Duggar fans never forget. They’ve got her covered.
On December 18th, fans egarly waited to see what the family would say for Jordyn’s birthday. But, turns out Michelle and Jim Bob decided that announcing Joe and Kendra’s pregnancy was more important than wishing Jordyn a happy birthday. New babies are apparently more important to them than the ones they already have.
“Wouldn’t whoever announced Jendra’s pregnancy have known that today is Jordyn’s birthday?” a fan wrote on the /r/CountingOn subreddit, reports InTouch.
“Common sense would tell them to delay announcing it for 2 days till Wednesday or the end of the week. But I guess we can wish [Jordyn] if her family can’t. Happy Birthday Jordyn!”
The “Jendra” announcement sparked a number of fans rushing to the Duggar Family Official Facebook page to wish the little one a happy ninth birthday. Eventually, the family caught on, and by that evening, they had the decency to post about Jordyn – you know, right before the nine-year-old had to go to bed.
In generic Duggar fashion, the post started with calling her by a nickname, followed by a mention of how happy and “smiley” she is. Then it went into how she makes everyone smile and is so helpful. Then ended with a mention of Jesus and/or God.
In other words, a big fat helping of “Hey, Jordyn, in our eyes, you just blend into the crowd like the rest of our kids.”
