Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar Pay Birthday Tribute to Son Tyler

This family is so love them or hate them. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar used to be parents that people looked up to because everyone wanted to know how they made their house function and somehow still found time to get down with each other. With as many kids as they have, it’s easy to forget all their names, but we bet you didn’t know — or totally forgot — of their son Tyler. Yep, Tyler Duggar. He stands out a little bit because his name isn’t some weird “J” to match the rest of the 19 kids.

But, this is because Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar adopted their son, Tyler.

The couple adopted the little boy back in 2016 and they make it official to the world when they announced his 9th birthday last year on their Facebook page. Back in November of last year, the former reality couple were granted permanent guardianship of Tyler, who is Michelle’s great-nephew.

”Jim Bob and Michelle couldn’t be happier right now,” a source told In Touch exclusively at the time. ”Jim Bob and Michelle have made the child feel right at home. They treat him like their own and he looks up to them as parents,” a source told In Touch at the time. Tyler was originally being taken care of by Michelle’s sister Carolyn, after Tyler’s mom, Rachel wasn’t able to care for him since she was a young teenager when she had him. Tyler went to live with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar after Carolyn suffered a stroke. Rachel is still in Tyler’s life through supervised visits, but he is now being cared for by the Duggars.

And 20 kids and 20 birthdays plus now all the grandkids is a shit-load of birthdays to remember. And the Duggars have been forgetting to wish happy birthday to a few of their kids lately.

So, it’s kind of a big deal they remembered Tyler’s birthday. And they did by paying tribute to Tyler on their Facebook page.

“Happy 10th birthday Tyler, a whole decade now!” reads a post on their official Facebook page. “You are such a joy and a delight! We are so thankful for you! We wish you a happy birthday and look forward to another great year!!”

People in the comments wished the boy happy birthday as well, but — several didn’t know who he was either. So you’re not alone.
