The ‘Secret’ To Jessica Alba’s Killer Post-Baby Body Is Hardcore Corseting
Jessica Alba is a mother to two children, a fact that was utterly mind-boggling to The Daily Mail as they recently ogled her bikini body. But in the now great tradition of the “how did you get that smokin’ body?” question that is now a cornerstone to celebrity mom interviews, Jessica’s “secret” is out. Those of you who are so inclined can set your Google machines accordingly.
When pressed, Jessica told Net-A-Porter, an online luxury fashion magazine, that she girdled up — in what sounds like the months after her daughters were born. And I do actually mean months:
“It was brutal; it’s not for everyone,” she qualifies. “I wore a double corset day and night for three months. It was sweaty, but worth it.”
Throughout my Mommyish tenure I have heard, whispered on certain mommy forums, that some ladies do corset up after baby to “help tighten your abs and shrink your hips,” according to one. Some of these mommies absolutely swear by it and, of course, “postpartum girdles” are a legit product being shilled to post-baby ladies on the regular.
No word on whether Jessica Alba was working with a Bellefit or your average pinup accessory. But a few more plugs like these from celebrity moms and Tracy Anderson may be out of business.
