Hollywood parents seem like they have it all. In order to balance career and fame, they need more than a little help. A quick peek behind the scenes reveals an army of personal assistants, make up artists and nannies that help keep the illusion alive. From Beyoncé Knowles to Angelina Jolie, celebrity nannies have become a vital part of the Hollywood lifestyle.
Working as a nanny for Hollywood parents might seem like a dream job but catering to the whims of these demanding divas is not always easy. Some nannies discovered the hard way that all that glitters in tinsel town is not gold. Here are 25 of the most bizarre rules celebrity nannies have to abide by or else!

Mariah Carey's angelic voice has been her key to fame and fortune. Twins Morrocan and Monroe were born to the sound of that voice as Mariah had her song 'Fantasy' played in the delivery room.
Mariah's nannies must also be prepared to tell her how beautiful and talented she is many times throughout the working day. Her children also make a nightly pilgrimage to Mariah's bedside to sing her praises at the encouragement of their nannies. She is reminded of her beauty and talent every night before bed. Just in case she forgets.

Hollywood parents do things their own way. Gwyneth Paltrow eats a very strict macrobiotic diet and expects her nannies to do the same. Who wouldn't be tempted to start the day with an almond milk smoothie for breakfast? The special ingredients also include coconut oil and vanilla mushroom powder. Sounds like a delicious treat. Her children Apple and Moses are allowed treats to break the monotony of kale and quinoa. Her macrobiotic diet means Gwyneth does not include any coffee, sugar, wheat or dairy as part of their daily diets. Alcohol is a big no-no as well. That smoothie better be good.
Halle Berry has two gorgeous children Nahla Ariela Aubry and Maceo Robert Martinez. The former beauty queen and talented actress is also a mama bear when it comes to her babies. Halle's sad childhood and recent divorce may be why she is so protective of her kids. Halle does not allow the nannies to kiss or hug her children. All forms of affection are off limits. Is Halle hoping all those cuddles will be saved for her alone?

Kate Gosselin has always had a special way about her. Having 8 kids is a big task so life must be organized in a certain way. Kate's way. To keep the house running the way she likes it, Kate has also created 'household manuals' for her nannies to study. In addition to instructions on the way cutlery is to be washed, and what time drapes are to opened, there is also a timetable and very particular instructions about taking care of Kate's flock of chickens. Because with 8 kids the chickens absolutely need a firm schedule.

Charlize Theron does not allow the staff to speak to her or to make eye contact while they are on the job. The South African born star prefers to keep her own company and her staff in their rightful place. Nannies for Jackson and August must provide handwritten notes as a form of communication. Charlize refuses to make eye contact at all times as it makes her feel uncomfortable. Ms.Theron seems like a very supportive employer and a fantastic conversationalist. I hope somebody will write that down and passes it on to her.
Julia Roberts shot to stardom in the romantic comedy 'Pretty Woman'. Her brilliant smile and fantastic hair have always been her trademark. She is the proud mother of 3 children Hazel, Phinnaeus, and Henry and has one very weird parenting trick up her sleeve. Nannies were made to wear a red wig when putting the babies to bed. Julia claimed it helped them feel secure in her absence. The nanny probably felt rather silly.

The Kardashian clan grows larger every year and shows no sign of slowing down. Hollywood's version of the Royal family has a large entourage of staff including personal assistants, makeup artists, and bodyguards. Nannies applying for work with the family go through a very strict process including fashion testing and rehearsals. Bonus points for being plain and unattractive. Kim won't hire any women she fears might tempt the intelligent and handsome Kanye to stray. In public, staff must walk behind the stars at all times so as not to steal the spotlight. They are told when and how to pose when standing still because appearances are everything.
Cell phone use is limited and a 'no photo' policy is enforced. Nannies are responsible for ensuring children are fashionably dressed at all times and are not allowed to discipline them in any way. Nannies are told to never, ever question a command. If all that seems a little over the top, nannies are free to speak with 'Madam' Kourtney at any time. Kourtney has bestowed the title of Madam upon herself and gets offended when people don't use it. Don't these peasants know who they are speaking to? Off with their heads!

Gwen Stefani has always been unconventional and original. The singer has never been afraid to push boundaries and is doing it again with her choice of a 'manny'. A secret 3-year affair between Gwen's ex-husband and nanny might be one reason for the change. The marriage of 13 years never recovered from the betrayal. Gwen does have 3 sons so it makes perfect sense to provide them with a caretaker that they can relate to. Gwen interviewed 67 nannies to find the perfect fit. The 'manny' has embraced his role and has been seen out in public dressed in a variety of very tight superhero costumes. Let's hope Gwen isn't the one tempted this time. After all who could resist a man in a cape?
Brad and Angelina fell in love and wanted to share that love with the world. Humanitarian Angelina decided that instead of sponsoring a village, she would simply create her own. They adopted Maddox, Pax and Zahara and Angelina gave birth to Shiloh and twins Vivian and Leon. Angelina's 'free range' parenting style clashed with Brad's traditional ideas of routine and responsibility. Angelina filed for divorce in 2016 and the nasty custody battle is still ongoing.
With a team of 6 nannies, Angelina should be able to find some 'me' time to help her heal. Setting their own rules means the kids eat and sleep when they choose and nannies are at their beck and call at all times. The children do not do any chores and are encouraged to 'speak their mind'. The breakdown of the marriage is a total mystery. I can't imagine what went wrong.

Jessica Simpson is taking no chances with her marriage to former NFL player Eric Johnson. The singer, actress and fashion designer has 2 sons Maxwell and Ace with a baby girl due this year. Her fashion line the creatively named 'Jessica Simpson Collection' has become a billion dollar empire. Jessica bought tiny denim shorts back into style as Daisy Duke in 'The Dukes Of Hazard' but has struggled with her weight in recent years. She lives by the 'No pretty nannies' rule and will only hire homely and unattractive women as hired help.

With over 149k thousand followers on Instagram, the kid with the trademark name is certainly big business. The daughter of Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z already has her own fashion line so it is no surprise that what Blue Ivy wants Blue Ivy gets. Blue is the proud owner of her very own throne (that's right!) as well as a wind machine so she can reenact Bey's most famous on stage moments. Nannies must produce the wind machine on demand and have all been required to dance for Blue Ivy's amusement. Learning the steps to 'All The Single Ladies' might seem like a good time but having to dance on command from a child seated on a throne? Not so much. Put your hands up if you want out nannies!

Nicole Kidman still calls Australia home and makes sure her nannies use some of the local languages as well. Once in the spotlight for her marriage (and escape) from Tom Cruise, the statuesque icon has travelled far and wide from her native home. With a string of movies and awards to her name Nicole also has homes in L.A., Nashville, and Australia. Her very happy marriage to singer Keith Urban is blessed with two daughters Sunday and Faith. This Hollywood parent has never forgotten her roots. Her nannies have been instructed to wake the family up each morning with a hearty 'Gday Mate!' I wonder if the girls reply?.

Madonna is a musical icon there is no doubt about it. With her two biological children Lourdes and Rocco all grown up, Madge has welcomed 4 more children into her family. David, Mercy and twins Stella and Esther are now lucky enough to call the material girl 'mom'. Madonna has some very peculiar rules her nannies must follow when taking care of the kids. Nannies must ensure that the children's clothes do not contain man-made fibres and be made of 100 percent cotton or wool only. Newspapers and magazines are completely banned, as is television. Nannies have to find other methods of entertainment for themselves and the children as Madge declares TV to rubbish. The children are to only drink blessed Kabbalah water. Let's hope it has some kind of energy kick! Nannies working for the Matriarch of Pop are on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week, even on their days off. Ex-husband Guy Ritchie posted his thoughts on living under Madonna's regime beneath one of her Instagram posts. Guy bluntly stated 'Thank God I am out of that place'? Ex-husbands and ex-nannies the world over agreed.

Victoria 'Posh' Spice Beckham and her sporty husband have been married for almost 20 years. Their empire consists of children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and a much-wanted daughter, tiny fashion plate Harper. Being known as one of the world's most fashionable couples is no easy task. Rumors of infidelity have swirled around the marriage for years. David's flings with a handful of nannies were high on the list. Victoria was desperate for a daughter to share her love of style, and help heal the marriage. Falling pregnant with Harper saw that dream come true. Victoria has a little style icon to dress and spoil as much as she likes. Harper's nanny must be a qualified seamstress, capable of whipping up a fancy frock at any time. Harper has an extensive wardrobe and it is the nanny's job to ensure she is dressed fashionably. Ex-nannies (and there are plenty)have stated that Victoria is demanding and hard to work for. Nannies must cook, clean and take the brunt of some not so posh tantrums. Victoria ordered one of her nannies to stop speaking with a beautician who might have had 'history' with David. The nanny quit on the spot. Who can blame her?

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have been married for over 20 years. They have 3 children together, son James and twin daughters Marion and Tabitha. The 'Sex and the City ' star comes from a very large family of 8 kids which may help explain her penny-pinching ways. Nannies working for the family also claim that Sarah has some strict rules in the house, including the amount of dish soap used. Sarah has the shampoo and body wash containers refilled with pre-measured amounts to save money. Apparently, nannies helping with Tabitha and Marion are made to sing 'Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head' to the girls and no other lullaby would do. Carrie, what happened to you?

Confidentiality agreements mean that names are not always released. Who do you think these might be? One celebrity has her 7-year-old son spoon-fed at every meal. The high profile couple that hasn't slept in the same bed for over a decade but plays happy families. The star with such a busy schedule that her children must schedule appointments to spend time with her. The very famous celebrity who will only allow her to adopted children to call her by her first name. These requests are truly bizarre.
