Accio duvet covers! Pottery Barn just came out with a Harry Potter themed collection for kids and teens, and it's so good you'll want the whole thing for yourself.
A lot of movie-theme collaborations are a little tacky or kitschy. But there are a lot of Harry Potter fans who have outgrown the "cartoon character sheets" phase of their decorating aesthetics, but still want to indulge their fandoms. The new Harry Potter shop at PB Teen is tasteful and cool, and basically perfect for anyone who wants to live on the actual set of a Harry Potter movie. And it's the kind of stealth fan goods that aren't even immediately obvious to the casual observer.
That gold Hedwig lamp is spectacular, and I'm particularly into this Patronus-patterned damask duvet cover and pillow shams.
There's a decorative pillow that says "I solemnly swear I am up to no good," which I wanted for my kid's room even before I noticed that the thing actually glows in the dark with the Marauder's Map behind it.
And there's an alarm clock that looks like the Golden Snitch.
There are a lot of useful school supplies in the collection, too. There are Hogwarts house backpacks, lap desks, travel mugs, and more.
This is crazy. I'm going to go totally broke.
The collection is sold on the PB Teen website, but there are going to be a lot of adults buying everything when it comes out. The pieces all seem to be available for pre-order now, and will ship when they're in stock, which varies from October to December.
