All the Harry Potter Movies Are Headed Back to Theaters

It’s hard to believe but it’s been almost two decades since the magical world of Harry Potter and the whole Wizarding World graced our books and movie screens. In honor of the franchise’s 20th anniversary, fans will now have the opportunity to see all the Harry Potter movies ever released on the big screen. This means you get to watch them all again, like it was the very first time.

Warner Bros. Pictures, the studio that produced all those Harry Potter movies, and Cinemark XD have partnered up to give fans of the franchise a chance to experience all 8 Harry Potter movies in theater. Not only that, but muggles are also getting the chance to watch Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, too, since it’s all in the same universe.

All this fun surrounding the Harry Potter Movies starts August 31st and will run through September 6th.

According to Cinemark’s press release, the movie-marathoning theater fun will go by the name of “Wizarding World XD Week.”

“The Wizarding World holds a special place in everyone’s hearts,” said Cinemark’s CEO Mark Zoradi in a statement, adding that the franchise’s magic “truly comes to life” onscreen, courtesy of what sounds like some seriously high-tech, cutting edge visual bells and whistles over at Cinemark.

This theatrical run is only being done in the United States, in 141 different locations though, across 41 states, so hopefully that keeps a bulk of people happy who wish to see the Harry Potter movies all over again.

For anyone interested in the specifics, you should head to Cinemark XD’s website, to find all the details on when, why, and how to catch the Harry Potter movies. According to the site, you will be able to either purchase tickets to watch just one of the 8 movies at a $5 fee, or you can go for the whole festival pass and see all 9 movies for $25.
