Prepare Yourselves: There Are Four New Harry Potter E-Books Coming Soon

It’s been almost 12 years since the last Harry Potter book came out. And almost 9 years since the last movie! We swear, it feels like longer and just yesterday at the same time. Maybe because we’re deep into reliving HP with our own kids. Maybe it’s because we (still) pick up the books every now and again to read our favorite passages. Or maybe it’s because Harry Potter mania is just as strong now as it was all those years ago. It’s one of those things that just lives on! Since the original series came out, there have been a few companion books that have wet our appetite. But we’re always hungry for more HP content, right? Lucky for us, there’s more to come. Four new Harry Potter e-books are being released at the end of June, and we are already making room on our Kindle.

The release of the new Harry Potter e-books was announced on Pottermore, the official website for all things HP.

First of all, if you’re not a member of Pottermore, you should rectify that immediately. How else would you take your official Sorting Hat quiz?! But it’s also the best way to stay up-to-date on the latest Harry Potter news. Incidentally, Pottermore is also global digital publisher of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World. So it makes sense that the new e-books would be announced on the site! There are four separate titles coming out: Harry Potter: A Journey Through Care of Magical CreaturesHarry Potter: A Journey Through Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts, Harry Potter: A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy, and Harry Potter: A Journey Through Potions and Herbology. Two titles, Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts and Journey Through Potions and Herbology will be released on June 27.

You might recognize the titles as classes Harry and the gang took at Hogwarts. That should give you a clue as to what they’re about.

The books aren’t going to be a continuation of the story from the original series. Instead, they’re adapted from Harry Potter A Journey Through A History of Magic, which came out in 2017. They’re going to give us a glimpse inside the classes that shaped our favorite first-years into world-saving wizards. And since we’re STILL waiting on our letter to Hogwarts (delivered via owl post, of course), these new Harry Potter e-books are about as close as we’ll get to going to actual wizard school ourselves.

The first two titles in the new Harry Potter e-book series will be released on June 27. Get your wands ready!
