Happy International Women’s Day: 5 Organizations That Support Your Daughter’s Advancement — And The Daughters Of Others

Happy International Women’s Day, mommies! Today we celebrate and acknowledge the accomplishments and contributions of women everywhere on this very important day in Women’s History Month. But while mothers, fathers, and the childless are working hard to promote gender equality in everything from the workforce to maternity leave, others are zeroing in on the challenges our girls continue to face. Our daughters might be doing well on paper in terms of scholastic advacement, but we live in an era of extreme sexualization, sexist media, child marriage and the harmful mentality that girls are somehow the problem — not the solution.

So while we remember how International Women’s Day commemorates women, we should also revisit the organizations that are consistently trying to advance girls and their achievements.
