Busy Mom’s Cooking Hacks: 10 Best Oreo Desserts Of All Time

By  |

Before you read this post, it is very important that you protect your computer keyboard or smartphone with a plastic barrier because you are going to drool everywhere. You have been warned.

It is very unlikely that you, as a red-blooded human, don’t have a deep-seated obsession with Oreos. Oreos were the best as a kid because I could spend hours scraping off the filling delicately with my teeth, resealing the cookie, opening it again, and licking it clean—because I clearly had a lot of time on my hands and didn’t get treats much.

As an adult, I have the same love-obsession with Oreos. I just can’t get enough. I buy them and pretend that they’re for my kids, and then I eat them all and/or make them into a delicious cocktail all for myself.

Check out these amazing Oreo recipes to upgrade your favorite cookie:

1. 3 Ingredient Oreo Truffles: You had me at three ingredients… And Oreos… And truffles…

2. No Bake Golden Oreo Truffles: I will make anything advertised as “no bake.” Anything.

3. No Bake Oreo Brownies: Speaking of no bake, try to imagine the two most beautiful things in the dessert world joining forces: Oreos + Brownies + No Bake = THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING.

4. Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies: Holy balls, this is so easy. Why not make two dozen?

5. Oreo Pops: White chocolate Oreo cake pops for a birthday party—why didn’t I think of that?!

6. Red Velvet Oreo Brownies: I must find a reason to make these before Valentine’s Day.

7. Layered Oreo Cupcake: After examining the picture tutorial, this amazing layered-Oreo-cupcake creation is much easier than it looks.

8. Deep Fried Oreos: My husband bought a deep fryer last Thanksgiving “just for fun,” which means that this fried abomination is gonna happen at my house real soon.

9. Oreo Parfait: Even a dummy like me could layer this decadent, impressive Oreo pudding Parfait.

10. Oreo Cocktail Just For Mom: I need this disgustingly delicious booze-fest in my belly right MEOW.

BONUS, because this one goes up to 11… Easy, Yummy Mud Pie: Your life will not be complete until you make a mud pie with an Oreo cookie crumb crust. Or, maybe you just make the Oreo crust and eat it with chocolate fudge sauce all by yourself. No one’s gonna judge.

I knew I shouldn’t have read these while I was hungry! This was a mistake and all I have to look forward to when I get home from work is fruit and poached chicken thighs…. 🙁

In college, we’d take the crush oreos from the ice-cream bar and mix them with whipped cream. Not exactly photo-worthy, but damn that was good.

Also, I have an oreo pudding recipe everyone who doesn’t mind a few calories should have. It’s pure heaven.

2 sm. pkgs instant French Vanilla pudding
      3 1/2 c. milk
      1 (8oz) pkg. cream cheese
      2 (8oz) pkgs. Cool Whip
1 sm. bag Oreo cookies (I use a whole pkg. of Oreos)

Mix pudding with milk. Beat with mixer well. Add cream cheese to pudding.
Stir in Cool Whip mix well. Crush Oreo cookies with hands – save crumbs
to sprinkle on top. Stir cookie crumbs into mixture with wooden spoon.
Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
      You’re welcome.

We do the Oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies at my house. My kids refer to them as “Weapons of Mass Diabetes.”

A few years ago, my husband and I split a slice of the Oreo cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory. That was as close to a food-gasm as I think I’ve ever seen him get.

That reminds me of when my husband first tried an Oreo donut from DD’s. We’d been walking while we ate, and he stopped dead at the first bite. Never seen anything like it.

Yum. I tried not to read this. I heart Oreo desserts. When I was pregnant and would go to the movie theater our sweet server (dinner & booze theater) would mix the chocolate and Oreo milkshakes for me into one because I couldn’t decide. He will forever have a special place in my heart.

Oreo truffles are pretty much my favorite thing on the planet. Also, I’m dying for that mud pie. I haven’t really had any pregnancy cravings up until now. I’m sure my husband will thank you later. =)

My husband and I are both on a major diet and exercise regimen, but I think I’ll have to make those red velvet cooies and cream brownies and take them into my office. That sounds like an AMAZING baking experiment to undertake 🙂
