Couple Announce Surprise Pregnancy With Bob-Ross Inspired Photo

When it comes to announcing pregnancies these days, it’s hard to stand out. Lots of folks out there are finding new and elaborate ways to let the world know about their upcoming bundle of joy. This next couple is no different, announcing their “happy little accident” by invoking none other than Bob Ross.

In case you’re not aware, Bob Ross was a popular television personality known for his instructional program, The Joy of Painting. Ross became popular for his calming presence and incredible art skills. Apparent fans of the show, one couple decided to recreate a moment on the show to announce their new addition.

In the now-viral Reddit post, one can see the dad dressed up like Ross (curly wig and all), painting a baby on a canvas. But it’s not just any canvas, it’s the mom-to-be’s belly. The soon-to-be mama is also holding a sign up announcing the month of birth: October 2017.

It gets even better when you read the caption they used: “We don’t make mistakes, just happy little accidents.”

Fans of Ross will instantly recognize this phrase as one used by Ross himself on the show. The painter suggests that there are no real mistakes in painting since you can always find a way to change the unintentional brush stroke, by blending, painting over, or even making it into a “happy little tree.”

The couple’s post already has over 500 comments. No doubt their child will be soothed later on by the sound of Bob Ross’ voice, especially since the show is now available for streaming on Netflix.
