Convicted Sex Offender Tattooed 12-Year-Old Girl While She Had A Slumberparty At Friend’s House

Convicted Sex Offender Tattooed Young GirlA Pennsylvania couple have been ordered to stand trial after they thought it was a good idea to tattoo a girl who was visiting another girl who was in their care at the couple’s trailer park in May. The couple has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of minors, simple assault and tattooing and piercing a minor. Randall Charlton III and Melissa Becker are obviously the sort of people the majority of us wouldn’t leave our kids with. Not because they are fond of tattoos, but because Charlton is a convicted sex offender and they both thought it was a good idea to tattoo a young girl. According to the Titusville Herald :

According to the affidavit, the 12-year-old asked Becker “if she could get a tattoo and that her mother advised that it would be OK for her to get a small one.”

The affidavit states that Becker then allegedly proceeded to tattoo the smiley face on the girl’s arm with the inscription above it.

The girl’s mother was never called or asked if the tattoo was allowed to be placed on the girl’s forearm, the affidavit states.

This story is so awful all around. Not only because of Charlton’s previous crimes (which are terrifying enough, with a charge of criminal sexual battery) but also because he has a female companion who didn’t have enough common sense to think that maybe marking a 12-year-old with an obscenity wasn’t the best idea. According to the report, Charlton did the tattooing and Becker monitored the power supply.

There is no information on who the other girl was in care of this couple, but if I sent my kid to sleep over with another kid and she came home with a smiley face tattoo and the word “Bitch” above it, I’d be pretty pissed off.
