5 Reasons Jared Leto’s Mom Is A Boss

At this year’s Oscars, Jared Leto charmed everyone by bringing his mom as his date. And then he one-upped himself by giving a tear-jerking speech about why she is awesome.

Here are some other things we learned about Constance Leto tonight.

1. She has even better hair than her son.

Most of the women I know are jealous of Jared Leto’s hair. But his mom’s hair is even better. And it is that awesome shade of silver that every woman pretends they’ll have when they get older and then don’t have the guts for.

2. She proves that being a high school dropout and teen mom isn’t where a story ends.

“Somehow she managed to make a better life for herself and her children. She encouraged here kids to be creative and work hard and do something special. That girl was my mother and she’s here tonight. I just want to say ”˜I love you mom, thank you for teaching me to dream.’

And here’s her other son Shannon describing their childhood:

”When we were young, we were very poor. Our mum was a hippie and we lived in a truck. We had no toys or TV. However, we had bongos and a guitar. What happens to us means a lot for our mum. She’s happy.”
