Parents Think The New Pop-Tarts Commercial Promotes Swearing, Cannibalism

I love it when parents get all irate about ridiculous stuff — it’s my favorite. When I read a new Million Moms crusade it usually makes my whole day. The newest controversy-that-totally-isn’t-a-controversy is this Pop-Tart commercial.

Let’s watch:

What’s the problem with that? Well, if you didn’t notice that nurse is totally about to eat that baby. What’s that you say? That isn’t a baby? It’s a cartoon Pop-Tart? Let’s not ruin a good bitch-fest with logic, okay? Also, Jelly Mom says “Jam it” at the end, which totally sounds like “Damn it” and now all your kids are going to hell.

I think those are the complaints, in a nutshell — but since I don’t like putting words in people’s mouths, lets see what the irate commenters are posting on the Pop Tarts Facebook page:

“Baby eating.” Seriously? I wonder what this woman thinks of M&M commercials.

NO ONE should ever think it’s okay to say “Jam it.”

Stephanie, did you know that 1.6 million American children experience homelessness every year? I thought you may want something REAL to be concerned about.

There are actual horrible things happening in the world. Every day. If you really think this Pop Tart commercial is going to irreparably damage your kids — throw your TV out the window right now. Because there is so much worse on there.
