Once you have your own home or are out on your own, you have some choices to make. We’re not talking about what carrier to use for homeowner’s insurance or whatever (although that is pretty important). We’re talking about deciding which direction you’re going to go with your holiday decor. Laugh all you want – this is kind of a big deal! Holiday decorations are expensive, so once you pick and commit to a theme, you’re stuck. You can’t just go out and buy new decorations every year! You pick a color scheme or overall theme, and then every year, you add to it until your home resembles a store holiday display (just us? OK.). Some people like to incorporate pieces of their childhood holidays into their decor, like those amazing ceramic Christmas trees we all used to have. Don’t worry if yours didn’t survive – you can find them brand new now.

There’s a good chance you had ceramic Christmas trees in your home as a kid. Or maybe your grandma had a few around her house. They were a big part of the holidays back then.

Just looking at that thing brings back a flood of memories! Those ceramic Christmas trees have a special place in our hearts, and we’ve always wished we had preserved the one our family used. But things gets broken or lost. Lights stop working and can’t be replaced. Now, thanks to Target and Walmart, you can get yourself a brand spankin’ new ceramic tree with working lights. You know you want one. Or three or four.

Target is selling two versions of the tree: green or white, in 7″ or 14″. The 7″ tree is only $15, and it has working lights and everything. The 14″ tree sells for $30. Both colors are lovely, but we’re digging the classic green.

Walmart has quite a few ceramic Christmas trees to choose from.

They have the classic green as well, and a white version that you can paint yourself. The DIY white tree sells for $59.95, and the classic green can be yours for $37.99. But Walmart is out here giving you choices. You can get the ceramic tree in pink and rose gold, too.

If big table top trees aren’t your thing, don’t worry. You can still show some love for ceramic Christmas trees in smaller ways.

Target has the most adorable ceramic Christmas tree ornaments for just FIVE DOLLARS. The tree ornaments come in green and white, and at $5, you can buy quite a few of them to decorate your tree with. We are going to be ALL OVER THIS. But honestly, we’ll probably snag a couple of the big ceramic Christmas trees, too.

We love working bits of our childhood holidays into our lives, whether it’s in the form of traditions or decorations. These ceramic Christmas trees are the perfect touch of nostalgia.
