Blac Chyna Granted a Restraining Order Against Rob Kardashian

Just when it looked like Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian might work things out and get back together, their break-up took a particularly ugly turn, with Kardashian allegedly posting nude photos of Blac Chyna to Instagram without her consent. Now Blac Chyna has been granted a temporary restraining order against Kardashian, which prevents him from coming near her and also from posting about her online.

During a breakup, the party who keeps their mouth shut and doesn’t slam their ex in public usually seems like the more stable one, and by that criteria Blac Chyna is winning this split. Last week Rob Kardashian allegedly went on Instagram to post explicit photos of Blac Chyna and start throwing around bizarre accusations of everything from having had $100,000 of weight-loss surgery after the birth of their baby to giving up breastfeeding after four weeks “because she wanted to drink alcohol so bad.”

Revenge porn is a crime

He accused her of cheating on him, doing drugs, and giving his robes to other dudes.

Kardashian’s tantrum was so over the top that Instagram actually shut him down. But he took to Twitter to keep it going.

Blac Chyna has accused Kardashian of attacking her physically, as well as shouting obscenities at her in front of her 4-year-old. She showed up in court with her lawyers on Monday to ask for a restraining order, and it was granted.

According to CNN, Kardashian did not appear in court, but his lawyers did. Kardashian’s lawyer said he apologized on his client’s behalf, and that they agreed to the terms of the restraining order. (One suspects they might be doing a lot of “agreeing to what Blac Chyna wants” over the next few months.)

Kardashian’s lawyers apologized.

“I, personally, on Mr. Kardahsian’s behalf apologized and offered our regrets as to what happened in the past couple of days,” Kardashian’s lawyer said. “Now we move forward to do one thing and one thing only, what ever is in the best interest of the child.”

Blac Chyna and Kardashian have a baby girl named Dream Kardashian. (Blac Chyna, Rob, and all their friends and family actually did the Mannequin Challenge in the delivery room while Dream was being born. It was a simpler time, then.)

“As we have said all along, revenge porn is a form of domestic abuse,” Blac Chyna’s lawyer said on Monday. “It is also a crime in California and 38 other states.”

”He doesn’t respect me,” Chyna said. ”So, if you can’t respect me you have to respect the law.”

Kardashian should have known better. 20 seconds of thought should have been enough to know that posting nude photos without consent is illegal and also immoral.

Hell, his own sister said she was humiliated when nude photos of her were leaked by hackers without her consent. And no, the fact that both Chyna and Kim have posed nude makes no difference to the morality of sharing photos they don’t want shared without their consent. If you publish a book it doesn’t give everyone the right to read your diary. If you publish a nude photo, it doesn’t mean the entire world owns all representations of your body forever after that.

Kardashian published his own sister’s phone number for revenge.

Kardashian is the worst, but he’s done stuff like this before. Kardashian once published his younger sister, Kylie Jenner’s, personal phone number on Twitter to get back at her for a perceived slight against Blac Chyna.

The Kardashians may be fame-grabbing drama mongers, but the rest of them seem to care about being good parents. Kourtney Kardashian had a difficult breakup of her own, but she’s avoided running a public smear campaign. Rob should have taken them as an example, because he’s going to be raising a baby with Blac Chyna. It would have been better if he could have managed to do it without doing this to Blac Chyna. He’s going to have to be working with to raise a baby for the rest of their lives.
