Beyonce Shares Her Miscarriage Grief In Her HBO Documentary That Everyone Is Already Pumped About

Every time I load up my HBO Go to tuck into a “Girls” episode, I, like many others, am treated to Beyonce‘s “Life Is But a Dream” trailer. And while Beyonce’s pregnant tummy and sonogram are pretty prominent details in the clip, now it’s been reported that the Grammy winner also shares details surrounding her first pregnancy — and miscarriage. Maria Guido‘s insistence that ladies need to “speak the eff up” about their miscarriages is catching on! One high profile diva at a time.

Daily Mail confirms that Blue Ivy‘s mother gets candid about a miscarriage she had two years prior to shooting the documentary. The mother confirms that it was her first ever pregnancy. But in an all too familiar script, once Beyonce went in for an additional doctor’s appointment, the heartbeat that she had so loved was gone:

“And I heard the heartbeat, which was the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life..I flew back to New York to get my check up – and no heartbeat. Literally the week before I went to the doctor, everything was fine, but there was no heartbeat.”

Upon learning of her pregnancy, Beyonce reportedly says that she immediately began “feeling very maternal.” In addition to choosing names, she also “envisioned” what her baby would look like.
