Beyonce ‘Loves’ Changing Diapers Possibly Because Blue Ivy Defecates Money

Celebrities! They are just like you and me, and by you and me, I mean me, Jay Z and Beyonce because they also love changing diapers, just like I did.

From People.com:

”Actually, [Jay-Z] is very good. We both [change diapers]. I love changing diapers, I love it. I love every moment of it, it’s so beautiful. I love it all,” Beyonce says during a Monday appearance on Anderson Live.

OK, so I actually didn’t love changing diapers like Hova and Queen B. I mean, really, does anyone actually “love” changing diapers? You need to do it. When babies are clean and dry they are happy. When babies are wet and dirty they get rashes. It’s important to change a baby. But love it? Come on! Unless Blue Ivy is defecating cold, hard cash than I sincerely doubt her parents love changing her diapers, and I also sincerely doubt they do it themselves that often. Feeding your baby, holding your baby, bathing your baby, cuddling your baby, these things are all activities most parents can claim to love, but changing a stinky dirty diaper is just a job you have to do. And not loving this job doesn’t mean you don’t love your kid, it just means you don’t love dealing with feces and urine. Even if the feces and urine is coming from an adorable little baby on a yacht.

I think I would have liked it more if Beyonce had just said “Changing dirty diapers sorta sucks but we do it anyway.” You can still be a good parent and not be crazy in love with every single thing your kid does. I’m not saying parents should be repulsed by diaper duty, but shouldn’t a word like love be reserved for watching your baby sleep or listening to the little cooing noises they make when they are eating? Love is a strong word to associate with baby wipes and Diaper Genies. I can’t wait to hear the word they used to describe little Blue Ivy’s spit-ups.
