The Best After-Christmas Sales, Because Santa Was Not Good To You This Year
As I noted yesterday, I have absolutely no interest in shopping today and plan to be in my pajamas for the next 24 hours but if fighting crowds on a spiked eggnog and ham hangover is your thing, allow me to assist. Most stores and websites are in the full swing of post-holiday sales but some are far better than others. Save time and just visit the ones with the best deals. Here are the best after-Christmas sales I was able to dig up:
Ok, I know this isn’t a store you can visit but still- they have some great prices right now. The entire website is on sale, basically. Well, not all of it- but there are lots of deals in all categories. My personal fave is the Kindle ebook deals- so many people just got a Kindle for Christmas so lots of books are the best prices they will be all year. I know this is when I tend to stock up on my Kindle books!
Old Navy is always fantastic for end-of-year sales and this year is no exception- lots of items up to 75%. A visit to their website also showed me that everything online is an additional 20% as well, on top of already reduced prices. Not leaving your house and still getting deals? Yes, please.
This place always has a great sale after Christmas- namely, their hand soaps (50% off) and $3 full-size tubes of their super thick body cream. Also, they accept coupons on top of those prices. I know I have some $10 off $30 laying around so I’m sure lots of you do too. If I were to leave my house today, B&BW would be my first stop. I blow through their 3-wick scented candles like nobody’s business.
They are currently having a semi-annual sale with tons of styles of bras at 25% off and pajamas up to 40% off. They also have their panty (ew, I hate that word) clearance right now. If you need Sexy, get thyself to Vicky’s.
5. Target, aka, The Mothership
You know Tar-shay is always a safe bet, no matter what time of year, but right now is pretty amazing. If you want post-holiday clearance prices on holiday decor, wrapping paper and candy, now is the time. They also have a gift-card deal for the Keurig 2.0 brewer and 15% off furniture and home decor if you spend $125.
While I sometimes feel this store can be a rip-off, if you have coupons and hit a sale, you can do pretty well. Right now, they are offering $10 off a $30 purchase in store or online that goes until January 1. Notable deals include 60% off outerwear and 40-60% off boots.
If you weren’t too thrilled with your oven’s performance this holiday season, head on over to Best Buy where lots of ovens and other appliances are 15-35% off. They are also having a great sale on video games and open-box/clearance items.
They are having a one-day sale today (but aren’t they always?) that includes some very good deals on items in every department. If you have a Macy’s card and get their coupons all the time you could probably do very well today. Of particular interest is their holiday stock- plate ware, decor, ornaments and holiday-themed linens are mostly discounted.
Happy Shopping! And please mention any good sales you are seeing in the comments to help your fellow reader!
