The Baby Eyebrow Trend Is Adorable And Definitely NOT Cruel

By  |

Is there anything that folks won’t do to get attention online? The latest trend to take social media sites by storm is drawing fake eyerbrows on babies, and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t amused. I mean, this certainly isn’t Baby Bangs ridiculous, but it’s definitely a close second.

Like anything awesome, the whole #BabyEyebrows phenomenon has its fair share of detractors, with some commenters claiming that the practice is “cruel.” Honestly, I can’t see how drawing a couple of zany eyebrows (as long as you’re using a non-toxic tool like an eyebrow pencil) on your infant is any crueler than the “babies eating lemons” trend that was popular a few months ago, and certainly less cruel than anything Alicia Silverstone is probably feeding her kids.

All in all, I think this trend is perfectly harmless and endlessly entertaining. Below are 15 examples to make your Sunday a little bit brighter. You’re welcome.

15. The mustachioed gentleman

I’m loving the eyebrow, curly mustache, goatee combo here!

14. The jaunty brow lift

baby eyebrows 2

This one kind of reminds me of the whole Kim Kardashian, North West eyebrow debacle of 2013.

13. Subtle, but effective

baby eyebrows 3

I love how these eyebrows are so subtle that they almost realistic. Also, this kid totally reminds me of Rob Ford, aka the Toronto mayor who makes Marion Barry look like Willard Scott.

12. Tom Selleck meets Zorro

The title says it all. I don’t know whether I expect this baby to fight crime in a Hawaiian floral shirt or in a black cape and eye mask.

11. Ain’t nuthin but a g-thang, baby

baby eyebrows 6

This has to be the most bad ass baby I’ve ever seen.

10. Disney Baby

baby eyebrows 7

This kid looks like she just crawled right out of a Disney movie.

9. Not impressed

baby eyebrows 8

This kid is NOT impressed with your eyebrow drawing prowess, mommy, and she is not afraid to tell you about it.

8. Epic shade

baby eyebrows 9

This baby is throwing some epic shade our way, yo.

7. Lego Baby

baby eyebrows 10

Doesn’t this baby remind you of a Lego character? I’m loving the squared off mustache. Maybe #BabyMustache can be the next big trend!

6. Problem baby

baby eyebrows 11

Maybe this baby’s father is secretly the Bow Tie Killer (two points for you if you get this reference without clicking the link.)

5. Mega stache

baby eyebrows 12

I think this parent is cheating with the toy mustache, but since this baby looks like the world’s most adorable evil villain, I’ll allow it.

4. Sleeping brows

The only thing I can muster for this one is AWWWWW.

3. Lieutenant Poopsmapants

Warning, the WMDs are in his diaper.

2. The Charlie Chaplin

Charlie Chaplin was just reincarnated into a baby and here he is in his eyebrow and mustached glory.

1. Business Baby

I would definitely do this if my baby didn’t bite me with her devil teeth every time I try to wash her face! Although… It’s bound to just rub off eventually, right?

haha! Totally, and she’ll look crazy cute until it does 😀 I encourage and enable this. (While being happy that my 10 month old is still Captain Gummy. I can wait for the devil teeth phase!)

Why is this an issue? Like, really? With everything that people could complain about, they pick eyebrows on babies? It’s cute.

Some folks aren’t happy if they aren’t bitching!

I think I am biased. I have my father’s eyebrows. After spending years plucking them to oblivion, I have to say, I’m loving babies rocking the bold eyebrows as much as I am reveling in that particular beauty trend this year. 😉

I’ve been cutting apart adhesive mustaches and using them on my youngest. Haters gun hate.

#13 – Someone please tell me this child is not named Zavidew.

Right? How would you even pronounce that?

Like David-ew with a Z? Or would it sound like ‘avid’ with a Z and an ew?

People are lame sometimes. What is the point of having a baby if you can’t dress them up and do funny things with them and take pictures? I laugh at people who try to argue silly parenting stuff like this for fun is abuse, uh no, go see some kids from legitimate abusive homes and relationships. Stop complaining about normal loving parents putting a silly wig or fake eye brows on their baby for a laugh. When your a parent to a new baby you need to find entertainment when you can in between all the serious parenting issues.

My grandfather used to call me his “pussy cat” as in “Pussy cat, pussy cat, I love you, yes I do! You with the pussy cat nose.”

My grandmother used to use an eyebrow pencil to draw a pussy cat nose and whiskers on me. It’s a very cherished memory and I think the only cruel part was they decided I’d grown out of it before I did.

My grandfather called me his pussy cat until he died when I was 23, though.

People are so intense and stupid for no good reason. I feel like if anything is going to crap with society is this sort of histrionics.

I don’t have a baby but I’m totally going to go home and draw brows on my dog.

It’s hilarious when they have no hair with black eyebrows. It reminds me of the pic of the chihuahua with the eyebrows! Can people please calm down??
