A Kid Walks Up To A Smoker And Asks For A Light…

In the same week that new mom Hilary Duff was caught holding a cigarette oh, the scandal! this anti-smoking PSA out of Thailand has been making its rounds. And, I must say, it’s pretty damn powerful. That’s because it has children walking up to smoking adults, pulling out a cigarette and asking for a light. (I know, right?)

Not surprisingly, every single adult butt in hand proceeds to tell the kids why smoking is bad. Ironic, isn’t it? But that’s exactly the point. These smokers already know how terrible their habit is but hey, try justifying it to a young child who wants to be just like you.

According to the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, who commissioned the piece, they’ve seen a 40% increase in phone calls from smokers who wanted to quit. Clearly they’re doing something right.
