Amazon Prime Day 2018 Is Almost Here!
Oooooh, I love me some Amazon Prime! I’ve been a member for almost eight years now, and I use it all the time. Even if I could get something at a store, the ease and convenience of having it shipped right to me is awesome! Being a Prime member comes with lots of perks. But one of the BEST is being able to take part in Prime Day. And now we know that Amazon Prime Day 2018 is just around the corner! This year, they’re taking it a bit further, and we’re getting a day and a half of amazing deals. Get your shopping fingers ready!
Amazon Prime Day 2018 is scheduled for July 16 – 17. It’ll get underway at 3 p.m EST on the 16th, and run through the 17th. 36 full hours!

As with every Prime Day, you can expect to get some great deals on their own tech devices, like Kindles, Echos, and more. We also see plenty of discounts on big ticket items, like TVs, laptops, and gaming consoles. With the growing popularity of smart home appliances, look for stuff like the Ring doorbell and Nest systems to be included this year.
Of course, one of the best things about Prime Day is the discounts on completely useless stuff.
You don’t think you NEED an ergonomic dust pan until you see a lightning deal for one at 74% off. Sold! The lightning deals are often full of the strangest stuff. Bungee cords, socks, head massagers, you name it, I’ve seen it. Obviously, there are people buying this kind of stuff, but sometimes Prime Day can feel a lot like clean-out-the-fridge dinner.
In order to take part in Prime Day, you need to be a Prime member.
They just raised the annual subscription price, to $119. Which seems a little steep, but is honestly worth every cent. If you haven’t signed up for Prime membership yet, Prime Day is a great time to start! You can also sign up for a free 30-day trial in order to take advantage of the discounts and 2-day shipping. Definitely a great idea for people who aren’t sure about it!
