Starburst Finally Gives the World What it Really Wants: Bags That Are All Pink

It is a truth universally acknowledged that pink Starburst are the best Starburst. Everyone has a mental hierarchy of Starburst flavors. Pink is always the favorite, followed by a second place, a third, and a “Why bother? Well, at least it’s candy.” Those others may vary by personal preference–I once met a person who actually liked the red Starburst. Go fig. I like yellow–but pink is the best. The playgrounds of America are littered with the bones of those lost in battles when kids try to split a Starburst pack with their best friends and realize there are an uneven number of pink ones. But now the world is going to be a safer and better place, because Starburst is finally, finally giving us all what we really want: bags of all-pink Starburst.

We can actually thank the internet for this, because it was a glut of pink Starburst Twitter memes that made the company realize what we’ve all known since childhood: Everyone loves pink Starburst best.

“From memes about relationships to sharing photos of excitement when getting a pink Starburst, over half of all references to Starburst on social media are about pink Starburst,” Starburst spokesperson Michelle Green said to USA Today.

Starburst is releasing the All-Pink Starburst in bags and sticks, and they’ll be available in April at stores like Target, Walmart, Kroger, Amazon, and more. Unfortunately, this is only a limited edition, because Starburst likes playing with our emotions and nothing good can really last forever.

But in April, for a while at least, you’ll be able to open a pack of Starburst and see nothing but pink staring back at you.
