Davion Only Who Wanted ‘Anyone’ To Adopt Him May Have Found His Family Just In Time For Christmas

Some of you may remember Davion Only, the 15-year-old boy I introduced you to over two months ago who was looking for someone, anyone to adopt him. Thanks to The Daily Mail we have news that Davion may have finally found his family, just in time for the holidays. I’m so happy about this news. His heartfelt plea was so touching and to think that he finally has a family of his own is just too amazing. According to the article, the teenager who has spent most of his life being bounced around from one facility to the next is currently living with his prospective parents so he can get to know the family before any permanent adoption is finalized. And according to Davion’s biological aunt, the prospective adoptive family is planning on taking him on a trip for his first proper Christmas ever.

Even though I only wrote about Davion and I have no connection to him, I still get e-mails from people interested in getting more information about him or asking me if he has found a family yet. His story touched so many of us because of his emotional plea.

I’ll take anyone. Old or young, dad or mom, black, white, purple. I don’t care. And I would be really appreciative. The best I could be.’

There are thousands of other kids just like Davion who are looking for their own family and a good place to start is here. I’ll update this story as soon as we have more information, but in the meantime, I have my fingers crossed and high hopes for Davion and his future.
