13 Super Easy DIY Pregnant Halloween Costumes

By  |

Assuming you’re not looking to go the pregnant zombie Halloween costume route, a pregnant costume is definitely one you don’t want to spend too much cash money on. Much like what you have been picking through for your baby’s first Halloween, you’ll literally only be wearing this get up once (or again if your next pregnancy is during Halloween). But with some toxic-free body paint, some garments about the house, your niece’s fairy wings, and some scissors, you may end up forking over way less than you paid for that belly band.

I really wanted to do Juno when I was pregnant. I didn’t have much of a belly but figured it would still work. Sadly my wife said I couldn’t because she worked with pregnant teenagers for a living and thought it would be in bad taste. Sadface.

Pregnant cat is pretty brilliant though! Pregnant vampire nun is…confusing.

I don’t remember if I dressed up while pregnant with my older son. Normally I love to dress up, but I have no recollection of it or pictures if I did. I know I didn’t dress up while pregnant for my second son because I was hoping that I still wouldn’t be pregnant by then and so purposely didn’t plan anything (his birthday is Nov. 3rd.)

Is “1950’s Housewife” offensive? Is it more or less offensive if you’re faking the pregnancy too, for the costume?

I went to a costume party w/ a friend a few years ago and she went as a Juggalette: [fake] pregnant belly, [real] drinking and smoking all night. Two other women at the party made a great fuss over how offensive that costume was, and all but forced her to remove the pillow from her shirt if she wanted to stay.

We spent the night giving them the Fry “Not Sure If Serious” face.

Honestly Alice, don’t you understand the consequences drinking and smoking can have on a developing pillow? Can’t women put aside their selfish needs to provide the best for their pillows?

But I’m HIGHLY offended at the suggestions to just ‘take out’ the pillow. That’s just morally wrong. All pillows deserve a chance to grow into mattresses, they can’t simply be ‘gotten rid of’ or ‘thrown away’. Think of all the women without pillows of their own.

I disliked being pregnant at Halloween. Anything I would dress up as was a pregnant this or a pregnant that. I wound up being a Greek goddess. Everything thought I was a fertility goddess.
    This year, though? Sailor Jupiter.

I’m going to be Krang from the 80s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, the significant other is going to be Shredder, and we’re taking two nieces and two nephews out trick or treating as the four turtles themselves. I’m so pumped. =D

My kid was born October 25, and we got home from the hospital October 27th. I went as “asleep on the couch.”

When my mom was pregnant with me (8 months), she went as an eggplant. Purple shirt, and a hat with green leaves on it.

If I’m ever visibly pregnant at Halloween, I’d probably grab some cellophane and go as a piece of wrapped candy.

I really hope that left boob lady isn’t pregnant. She looks like she would be waaaay uncomfortable.

These are adorable. My pregnant Halloween costume was pajamas and a bathrobe. When anyone asked what I was supposed to be, I just said, “Your Mama.”
