‘You Crazy Bitch’: Talking Dolls Curse, Cause Uproar

Imagine watching your little girl playing with her sweet new doll, only to hear the words “F@#k you” and “You crazy bitch” coming from the doll’s mouth. You’d probably think you were losing your mind, but you’d be wrong. At least according to countless parents who swear these dolls are potty-mouthed.

The You & Me Interactive Play & Giggle Triplet Dolls, sold exclusively at Toys ‘R’ Us, look like your typical pajama-clad dolls. But customers are calling for the dolls to be pulled from store shelves after hearing explicit language in their pre-recorded vocabulary.

Janet Albano, a spokesperson for Toys ‘R’ Us, said what’s being heard is merely “baby babble.” I checked out various videos and news reports of the dolls in action to see for myself and, sorry, but there’s no two ways about it these dolls have the mouth of a trucker!

I couldn’t help but fall over laughing while watching them curse maybe because it’s so unexpected, or maybe just because I’m picturing darling little girls sitting around the Christmas tree, refusing to give up their foul-mouthed “babies” as parents pry them for their tiny hands. But I do get why parents are outraged. Kids are renown for repeating everything they take in and, well, you don’t exactly want “You crazy bitch” in their vocabulary.

Toys ‘R’ Us says they have not received widespread complaints about the dolls, priced at $39.99, and will continue to sell them unless there is a manufacturer’s recall. In the meantime, don’t be too alarmed next time your angelic 2-year-old call you a crazy bitch. You can always blame it on the doll.
