Willow Smith Debuts Shaved Head, Cue The Lesbian/Tomboy Panic

Girls in the public eye who choose to opt for a look other than pigtails seem to always come under public scrutiny. When 5-year-old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt was spotted out with her brothers looking like one of the boys, tabloids scrambled all over one another wondered what insight this gave us into how Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were raising their little girl. It would have to be gender-neutral right? It couldn’t just be that the kid has an affinity for short hair and tennis shoes.

Add another little girl in the limelight to that list, as Willow Smith, Jada Pinkett and Will Smith‘s daughter, just shaved her head. The 11-year-old singer of “Whip My Hair” perhaps will be whipping back her hair no more as the kid proudly posted photos of her new do all over the interwebs.

Willow also shared snaps of herself in her dance studio in pretty, seemingly pink, ballet slippers.

No doubt, some press narrative will most likely attribute this adrogynous new look to her parents’ rumored split and speculated divorce. The kid can’t just have bold style. Then again, perhaps this image of her in head to toe pink redeems her.
