Adorable Video Of A Toddler And Baby Tiger Playing Tag Goes Viral And I Think I Just Had A Cuteness Overdose

As I’ve mentioned in the past, I’m not a huge fan of putting animals on display for our entertainment, but my heart melted at this sight of this adorable tiger tag video (and I think zoos are a bit different than places like SeaWorld, to be fair). Be forewarned, you might just explode from the ridiculous amount of cuteness in the clip of the Calvin and Hobbes-esque duo below.

The boy in the video is 2-year-old Marshall, son of Heath and Jackie Shaffer. It was taken on Halloween at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma, Washington. The tiger is a 6-month-old Sumatran named Kali, and the exchange the two had is so heartwarming I think my heart grew three sizes.

The two minute tiger tage video clip went viral this weekend and has already drawn more than 1.4 million views on that bastion of internet civility, YouTube. I don’t know what part I like best; the baby in a tiger costume, the actual baby tiger or the fact that the kid is absolutely fearless even though the only thing that separated him from certain doom was a three inch (or so) thick piece of glass.
