If you were girding your loins over the royal push present, then a further inspection of your undies will be needed upon learning the date of Prince George‘s capital “R” Royal christening. We have a date, people!

People reports that Prince William and Kate Middleton will be attending their son’s christening on October 23rd at The Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace. Baby Prince George will be christened by The Archbishop of Canterbury, Most Reverend Justin Welby in a service that will not be open to the public, so step away from your DVR. Considering that the royals have given us a public wedding and a very public debut of their infant son, I say let them keep this spiritual experience behind closed doors.

Kate and Wills are reportedly going rogue with a couple of new choices (one of them being a brand spanking new christening gown for baby George). But more specifically, with their choice of location:

The chapel site is where the body of Princess Diana, who would have been grandmother to Prince George, was laid at rest for a week following her death in a Paris car crash in 1997.

The new parents broke with tradition in choosing it over Buckingham Palace, where Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Prince William all were christened, the U.K.’s Telegraph“reported. The last member of the Royal family to be christened at St. James was Princess Beatrice in 1988, the paper said.

Now opening the pool for godparent bets.
