Pregnancy Sucks As Proven By This Woman Who Fainted On The President

shutterstock_94093786__1382470611_142.196.156.251I am so glad I am no longer pregnant. The miracle of birth is wonderful and everything and I have two gorgeous children, but looking at the image of this woman’s face right before she faints on President Obama reminds me how much pregnancy can suck.

Just look at the poor woman’s face. Her inner dialogue is as follows:

Oh god. I’m gonna puke.

Oh god. The sun is shining. I hate everything.

Oh god. I’m standing behind the President. Must keep eyes open.

Oh god. Maybe if I don’t blink this will all stop.

Junebug and the magic bus.

Wha?

Where am I?

I’ll tell you where you are – the ninth circle of hell. Unlike this woman, I wasn’t diabetic, but I do know what it is like to be pregnant and sick. It’s not good. The waves of nausea. The spacing out. The unbelievable fatigue. I loved being pregnant but there are parts of it that I really don’t miss it one bit. There is a small window where you feel fantastic and everything that surrounds it pretty much sucks. For some of us, anyway.

She was able to get help off the platform, and it took the President a few minutes to regain his composure. He joked to the crowd, “This is what happens when I talk to long.” She must be a little horrified to have the whole episode on video for the world to see – but she’s got a sense of humor about it. She tweeted, “I’m okay world – just got a little lightheaded.”

It will be a pretty awesome story to tell her kids, I guess.
