Pink Says She’s Currently Considered ‘Obese’ by All Weight Standards After Welcoming Second Child

Singer and all-around awesome mom Pink has been known to be a super cool mom. While the mama of two is something of a superstar, she’s also incredibly genuine–as documented on her Instagram account. In the past, she’s posted photos of her crying baby being the epitome of “Mondays” and microwaving cold cups of coffee. I mean, this is stuff we can all more or less related to, right?

Pink also isn’t afraid to get real about the postpartum bod and the struggle that is losing the baby weight. Unlike some celebs who are quick to post photos of their seemingly perfect bikini-clad bodies just weeks after giving birth, Pink is very honest about the challenges.

In a recent post, the pop star shows off her bod in a gym selfie shortly after having her second baby.

“Would you believe I’m 160 pounds and 5’3″? By ‘regular standards’ that makes me obese. I know I’m not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2 but dammit I don’t feel obese,” she says in the post. As someone with similar measurements, I totally feel Pink on this one. Labels are just that: labels. And rather than focusing on ones about our weight, maybe we should focus more on having confidence, on believing we are strong and capable and creative and bold. It’s obvious Pink feels the same way. She adds one final note in the post:

“Stay off that scale, ladies!”

Because, really, there are more important things to think about in life than the number on a box we stand on, right? Keep on keepin’ on, Pink. Keep on keepin’ on, mamas!
