Pedophilia Is Hollywood’s Number One Problem, Says Corey Feldman

Former child star Corey Feldman opened up about the widespread sexual abuse of children in Hollywood on Nightline. Feldman said that “the No. 1 problem in Hollywood was and is and always will be pedophilia.” He also spoke about his friend and co-star’s Corey Haim‘s suicide, citing the cause as sexual abuse by a “Hollywood mogul” who he could not name.

In the clip, Feldman speaks about the many “vultures” or pedophiles in the business that he became aware of as he got older. He also states that there is a “casting couch” for children looking to get ahead, as many of the most powerful executives in the industry are known pedophiles:

“There was a circle of older men who surrounded themselves around this group of [famous] kids and they all had either their own power or connections to great power in the entertainment industry.”

Corey’s comments, although they lack support, should be very sobering for parents who adamantly wish their child to pursue a future in entertainment.
