Pat Robertson: Witches Will Curse Your Baby If You Post Ultrasound Pics On Facebook

Sharing ultrasound photos on Facebook definitely qualifies as “overshare.” Nobody needs to see an image of the inside of your uterus — something that can only be described as an in-uterine Rorschach test. But I bet you didn’t know that in addition to a little pregnancy TMI, you could potentially be cursing your child by sharing his fetal image with friends on Facebook. Pat Robertson thinks witches are gathering your ultrasound images and muttering curses against your babies in their covens. He’s really turning the crazy up a notch lately.

Robertson answers viewer’s questions on his show, The 700 Club. This week, a viewer sent an email questioning whether there was any harm, from a “spiritual point of view,” with her pregnant daughter posting an ultrasound picture on Facebook. Robertson calmly replied: ”There are demons and there are evil people in the world. And you post a picture like that, and some cultist gets a hold of it or a coven and they begin muttering curses against an unborn child.”

Um…

Doesn’t a part of you expect the woman he’s sharing a stage with to burst out laughing? She doesn’t. She agrees, “yes — it may be unwise, too.” Robertson clarifies that the act itself may not be “unbiblical” but it’s definitely abhorrent. Yeah, I missed the part of the New Testament that touched on social media overshare.

Be sure to warn your over zealous pregnant friends who post the dreaded ultrasound photo on Facebook that cultists and witches are collecting those now. I’m sure that will go over well.
