Netflix Has Released Its Top 10 Horror Movies Too Scary for Viewers to Finish

I think we’ve discussed this before, but I don’t watch horror movies. For the same reason I don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy or This Is Us anymore. I really don’t enjoy being  feeling terrified, grossed-out, or depressed. So lord knows why I would sit there and willingly put myself in that mental stress. But, I support those who do! And if you’re one of those masochistic people, then this list is right up your alley. These are the top ten Netflix horror movies that viewers found too scary/disgusting to finish, according to the streaming network. Just writing this article will likely give me nightmares, so YOU’RE WELCOME.

The list of Netflix horror movies that viewers noped out of before they were over was compiled Paul Tassi. He’s the author of the sci-fi series The Earthborn Trilogy, so I’m assuming he knows of what he speaks.

The criteria for whether or not a movie was deemed “too scary to finish” was that viewers watched at least 70% of the film before turning it off. But whether or not viewers abandoned the movies because they were actually too scary is debatable. Tassi says that while some of the films on the list are truly scary, others may have just been too campy or gory (or stupid, in my opinion) to get through.

First up: Cabin Fever (2016)

College kids in a remote cabin being devoured by a flesh-eating virus, one by one? Sure, sounds GREAT. This one, according to what I saw online, is really gross. It even sounds gross. Why would you watch this?

Raw (2016)

The French horror movie is about a vegetarian woman who suddenly develops an insatiable taste for meat, most notably of the human variety. Makes sense, yeah. The movie is described as “disturbingly erotic”, but agree to disagree.

The Conjuring (2013)

A family is being terrorized by paranormal demons in their own home. There are kids, probably scary kids. Hardest of passes on this one, it sounds genuinely terrifying. Fuck scary kids.

The rest of the top ten Netflix horror movies too scary to finish includes Human Centipede 2, Carnage Park, Mexico Bárbaro, Piranha, Teeth, The Void, and Jeruzalem. Happy screaming!
