Madonna Says Marriage To Guy Ritchie Wasn’t ‘What I Thought It Was Going To Be’
The icon told Newsweek magazine that her marriage finally crumbled because the romance simply dissipated. Although all was well at the beginning of said matrimony, the commitment didn’t exactly age well. She told the publication:
“Because when you start off, everything’s great and lovely, and the person you’ve married is flawless, and you’re flawless. Then time goes by, and you share a life, you have children, and there are cracks in the veneer. It’s not as romantic as it used to be. You think, ”˜This isn’t what I thought it was going to be,’ and ”˜How much am I willing to sacrifice?’”
Apparently, she wasn’t willing to sacrifice for too long as the pair parted ways in 2008 and now they both date young models. A happy ending I suppose depending on your interpretation as Madonna doesn’t appear to be crying into the abs of her 24-year-old squeeze, Brahim Zaibat. “Cracks in the veneer” there may be, but if you’re a celebrity going through a divorce the odds of having a professional pretty person to help polish them up are pretty high.
